Actually, most of the monotheistic religions (Judaism, Islam, Christianity) point a finger and tell you that you've sinned. Earlier Pagan faiths generally viewed the gods as natural forces personified who were too big to be particularly worried about your individual problems.
For me, Mr. Crowley got it right -- "There is no god but Man."
